Hillary Clinton has been on the defensive for most of her second presidential campaign.
But her dominating performance at the first Democratic debate this week has reminded people why she's the presumptive nominee — and still the favorite to win the White House in 2016.
Clinton has always been a skilled debater. On Wednesday, she managed to crystalize for Democrats what next year's election is about when she declared: "We cannot afford a Republican to succeed Barack Obama as president of the United States."
